Angshujyoti Das : way back 1998 he started his first venture ‘Express Consumer Finance’ – A small enterprise used to promote Retail finance business in association with Kotak Mahindra Group. While doing business with kotak, Das has been introduced with the corporate finance and clinched some remarkable business on behalf of Kotak Mahindra Group. After that he never looked back and started his Consulting & Project Management Company ‘Express Advisory Services Private Limited’. In a shorter time EASPL has roped into clientele through out the country in various sectors. With his dynamic leadership the company has developed its overseas base in Europe, South East Asia also entered into a joint venture with US based ‘Custom Weather’.
Keeping consulting as the core service area, the company has emerged into other areas like Tourism, Entertainment, Exports etc. with the leadership of its dynamic search engine of opportunity.
Subrata Rana : not often would find such a versatile management guru with wide ranging expertise accumulated in all but in 15 years. A Master in Science from IIT, Kharagpur (1990), a PG Diploma Holder in Development Economics; IGIDR ’92, a former SANE-Asia Coordinator with International Institute of Rural Reconstruction, Philippines, and a Consultant to Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubenswar, Subrata has acknowledged expertise in natural resource planning and management, agriculture, food scarcity situation, watershed development, forestry, health system management capacity building and training, networking, IEC in reforms and participation and more. His assignments have taken him far and wide, at home and abroad, on a large number of prestigious and vital projects. His participation and stewardship in these projects are indeed legion. Even to name a few would be his yeoman role with Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibar Rahman Agricultural University on South Asia Capacity Development Programme on Participatory Research and Development in Natural Resources Management; Integrated Development Project for Homestead Farming, Bangla desh; Natural Resources Management, Bhutan; promotion of Multi-stakeholders Forum on Conflict Resolution concerning the prudent usage of Chilka Lagoon natural resources; Disaster Reduction programme of ActionIndia International; moderation of Millennium Village Projects (Development of MDG Tracking in 14 countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America),Ministry of Environment, Govt of India, on Integrated Water Resource Management and Wetland Conservation; Process Evaluation of ICT based Knowledge Centres in Orissa; Orissa Resettlement and Rehabilation Policy,2006, UNIDP; mentoring of Agriculture Rural Institutes in Participatory Research & Development on SANE coordinated projects, CIP upward, in Nepal, Thailand and Karnataka in India; SAPROF study on Orissa Forestry; Evaluation of Core Programmes of Centre for World Solidarity; guidance on the largest Poverty Alleviation Programme…the list goes on besides embracing other projects spanning Cuba, Britain, Denmark, Vietnam. Added to all this is his role as an Evaluator of EU funded watershed projects - and as a Mission leader for UNEP Projects. Last but not the least, he has authored Holistic Plan for the development of the Burdwan District, West Bengal; Community Development through alternative livelihood, Sustained Agriculture and Rural Development. Not surprisingly, he has proved to be quite a search engine for the Express Group taking it on a fast forward progress track.
